Previous Fundraisers
2017
The inaugural year of WCFP began as the Whitewater High School Class of 1982 and their 35 year class reunion. Extra funds were created from a few small events centered around the class reunion weekend. A passion to continue giving back to the local community grew, and a nonprofit organization was formed to help raise funds on an annual basis to local charitable causes. Funds from these events were donated to the Whitewater Police Department for their K9 unit.
2018
The legal formation of nonprofit took place with the first large scale event planned for July. A run/walk, golf outing. and motorcycle ride took place with the profits to benefit local police K9 units in the surrounding Whitewater communities.
2019
A second iteration of 2018's event took place again in July. Again, profits from the event went to support police K9 units in the greater Whitewater community, and surrounding communities.
2020
With two events set to take place (run/walk on June 28; Holiday Dinner Delivery), WCPF's fundraising efforts for the year will focus on assisting the Whitewater Unified School District in creating funds to assist students who are homeless, or on the verge of homelessness.
2021
The success of the the 2020 run/walk spurred interest for another similar event held near Starin Park in Whitewater. Again, funds were raised and donated to the Whitewater Unified School District in assisting students who are unhoused or those with families in need.
